Book in more than 14 days in advance. Maybe if you are lucky find a sale. There are really no tricks or tips anymore to save you much money. Check expedia, orbitz and the airline websites. Avoid traveling on business traverler days like Monday and Friday.

Make sure you do lots of arm curls and bench presses but no matter how many you do your arms are still going to get tired, make sure use some construction grade super glue to keep the feathers on your arms, you wouldn't want to lose any as you're flappin your arms wildly.

I travel a lot for work. The wife books mine through expedia or Orbitz usually 2 weeks in advance and usually runs between 500 and 800. You definitely don't want to wait until the week before gets really expensive.

somebody once suggested to keep to use wax to keep the feather's together.  it didnt work so well.

Don't put too much thought into tickets, just get really drunk right before you get to the airport bar, then get drunk at the airport bar right before you board the plane.  Then get drunk on the plane, if you have a layover, they will have a bar there, get drunk there.  It's pretty easy, no reason to worry about anything.

Google Flights? Not even heard of it. To be clear, go to Google then type in "Google Flights" and do this three months before I want to fly?

It will take a little bit of work finding a flight that will work, but you can always do a hidden city ticket, however you can only carry on luggage. Instead of buying an OKC-BWI flight, search for a flight that is OKC-BWI-XXX and just get off at BWI. These tickets will be cheaper than OKC-BWI.

based on experience.  make sure you only have carry on luggage.  I still have a suitcase somewhere in florida.
