I don't get it.  Several years pretending to be relevant.  Hurray.

OK - Back on track.

That was a great film.  It was well made and well presented.  It celebrated our first full year in AH.  It was FUN!!!

Let's celebrate that.  For all you guys that have an issue I would ask you this.  If I (or any other member of the squad) was to make the effort to attend an AH convention, would you be welcoming to me or stand at a distance and hate me?  I would hope I would be welcomed as part of the community.  Remember, this is a computer game, I hope I can meet 99% of you at a convention and share a beer and some war stories as friends.

ps.  That IS a great AH film  :)

:neener: back, oh Master of the AKs.   ;)

Thanks!

"FA Damned"....I kinda like that! Even if I never played FA....I think I'm the only squad member (other than maybe BATMANN) who didn't fly the 8-bit color skies of FA!

 :D

They were.  Didn't matter...I was out of town in any case...nor do I care at this point.

I briefly played Warbirds, but may not have been the same "Fulcrum".

Nice font for opening Title, good quote, good timing of fades. What program did you do the "year of damned" opener in? Looks like After EFX. The B&W, old movie, slo mo, filters and EFX of the P-51 was terrific. Made better by the timing of the fades and slo mo to the music. From there you went into more titling, everything was great.

You broke up your groov with your sequence of the squad members. I didnt like the look, thought it conflicted with what preceded and followed, didnt like the font, didnt like the glare. Titling is supposed to inform the watcher not actually be a part of the production. Ever wonder why nobody ever sits around watching titling at the end of a DVD?

From there the action got really strong. I love watching crossing shots, think the La-La's are great video machines, and really liked the speed of the action you used in your NLE. Nice 190 slaughter scene and loved the power off and hang maneuver. Of course all know the entire thing would have looked better with no chat or icons but who in hell knows at the time what you are recording will end up in a video? Thing is you dont.

Actually a pretty dang good training video for flying 190s. I'd have liked to have seen more Old movie filter and B&W. I thought the music was outstanding. All in all a very good effort. Its been years since Ive cut in Premiere. Ive heard its really come back strong. I started DV back at the beginning and did a lot of short work in old versions of Premiere. Vegas is all I have left but I bet I havnt opened it in a year and its like vers. 10. I remember when it was a sound only editor.

Believe me when I say I know how hard it is to sync a video up to a song. When I was doing weddings a opening song alone could take me a day. I liked your video a whole lot and I think it will be a good memory for you. :aok

Thanks Rich, sorry I didn't get to reply earlier, in the process of moving (yay :( )

The opener was done in AE CS6 Glad you liked the intro. Glad someone knows about DVE and could appreciate some of the subtleties put into the video =S=
