Problem with my Ch Fighter Stick

Well I left the calibration device up for 4 hours and it didn't move. I then started moving the stick along the Y axis, simulating the elevator movements, and there it moved ok for the first few inputs. Then it lagged (as Bruv put it) for a second or so then moved to the commanded position. Similar I guess to when you drive through your car though a soft surface it slows down with resistance then speeds up again.

Would this be due to dirt?

I have the same issue on my latest Fighterstick.  It's my 3rd one since 1995, and this is the first one that seems to have shoddy QC.  The trim wheels, when centered to the 'notch' will not actually center the stick.  They're loose, and have lateral movement on them.

It also has the same spikes that you're describing, which is probably due to dirt or dust, so I run the trim wheels through a full range of motion each time I log into the game.  I also move the stick around completely and verify it's centered before my first flight.

I tried the replacement combatstick again this weekend.   Mashed up the trim wheels  and opened up the control manager (didn't remember using it all with my old combatstick) to make sure they were centred properly instead of feeling for the middle notch.

Then calibrated with that outside of game.   

Had to re-assign all my buttons as the game had all my CH devices in lower case when they are normally in capitals (don't know what that is about) 

Anyway it now works as intended so I take it all back CH still rocks!   

Look out because I don't have a handicap now.
