Joining a plane
« on: December 11, 2014, 11:01:05 AM »
I wish there was an option that when I joined a plane, I could lock onto that persons head and move with his head movements.

If that makes sense.

To link head movements would be impossible I think, I'd rather see flaps, throttle control and tracers when they fire, I can look around myself when I join a plane, which I find that enough IMO.

Well I want to get used to their SA/reactions..

Would be useful for training.

Yeah that's what I figured.

I just don't know how they'd be able to do it.

But I'm no programmer so maybeh it's possible.

Lag might make it less useful than it sounds.  It would be kind of like riding along for gunnery, you'd only be seeing an approximation of what they're looking at, on a delay.  TrackIR I think would be right out.  You'd be further ahead riding along at the time, then getting them to send you their video and watch it with head motions enabled in the film viewer, assuming they're not using trackIR.

Wiley.
If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

I want to know when someone leaves my plane. It is pretty frustrating to think you have a gunner onboard your bomber only to find out he left some time ago.

The ability to kick them out of the plane as well.  I've had gunners go afk on me (for legitimate reasons) and leaves me a bit SOL.  Can't drop salvo-ing bombs and gun for yourself at the same time.

Wow I find it hard to believe it has been almost 38 days since our last path. We should have release another 38 versions by now  :bhead

Or the gunners that feel a need to shoot at absolutely nothing and waste your ammo.

Edit: and when you kick them, I want the effect to be a system msg "you have been kicked from the aircraft" and have that trigger a bail out sequence for them.
