After a quick check in the this tour's stats: the Yak 3 is #11 fighter in kills, the 110G is #16 and the Mossie is #20.  The P-40N is the highest scoring variant, but doesn't make the list until over 50 other fighters come before it.

Every plane goes through a phase of popularity. It probably won't last long. A couple of tours ago it was P-47s, I was seeing them everywhere. Some have always been popular (like the P-51D) and will always stay popular. It is entirely possible that it's the Yak3s turn to be popular.

See a lot of 190ho8 and run90 d9 lately as well. Sometimes it has to do with scenario practice as well.

There can be a huge a difference between individually perceived and actual popularity.
Long established planes don't get suddenly "popular" that quick, unless there had been a significant change to modeling. Usage preferences change rather slowly over time. Only very 'unpopular' rides can have some high (relative)  amplitudes, but still those are hardly able to be observed individually.

The scenario practice recently involves the 190 handed- :ahand 5

"The Yak-3 possesses some of the best engine characteristics in the game, especially at altitudes below 15k. Starting out at 350 mph at sea level, the aircraft speed rises to 410 mph at 12000 feet, maxing out at 430 mph 25k. Climb rate is exceptional, starting at 4000ft/sec at sea level before maxing out at 4300 ft/sec at 4k and gradually falling off after that. This is competitive with the best climbers in the game, although the Yak-3's rivals need WEP to do what it does unassisted." -AH wiki

110 and mossie have 4x20 mm nose mounted guns.

MOAR MOZZIES!
Make them so popular that HTC will have to give us the XVIII "tse-tse" and Mk.30.

Really, I noticed that too. It is not like the AH skies are filled with Wooden Wonders, but seeing a Mk.VI is not as exceptional as it was a year ago. Kind of nice to have another friendly mossie flying in the sector - gives the opposition some dilemma about which one to gang first.
Mosquito VI - twice the spitfire, four times the ENY.

Click!>> "So, you want to fly the wooden wonder" - <<click!
the almost incomplete and not entirely inaccurate guide to the AH Mosquito.

B Mk. IV, B Mk. IX, FB Mk. XVIII, and F Mk. XXX would pretty much complete the mossie lineup...
(and the sea mosquito would make my day)

My list would be:

F.Mk II, B.Mk IV, FB.Mk XVIII and NF.Mk 30.

The B.Mk IX doesn't really bring anything to the table as the B.Mk XVI can be used in its place, just block the 'cookie' option on it and the F.Mk II offers a 1942 fighter version with lower performance and strength than the 1943 FB.Mk VI.

But if we could only get the sea mosquito....
