I have played most of the Total War series over the past decade or more. MTW2K being the best imo. The vanilla is a good initiation. But the mods are where the game is at.
I've played several of the mods for Kingdoms and like playing as the Teutonic Order; very challenging on Hard/Very Hard modes in the mods like Stainless Steal. I'm approaching knocking out the Fatamid (Egypt) & Kwarazemian (Syrian) Empires once and for all after many months of losing battles; it will be time to move on.
The only genre I've ever enjoyed that is fantasy/mystical is the Lord of the Rings. Frodo!!! Probably the only genre I root for the good guys too lol.
I've never been able to get into Warcraft or the other mystical/super powers type play or outer space stuff...
Has anyone played the Middle Earth mods for Medieval Total War? What did/didn't you like? Which mods do you recommend?
