auto wingman problem
« on: January 17, 2015, 05:11:46 PM »
When I use the auto wingman control and turn it off, my ailerons are automatically jump to full right trim.
This annoying.

Does anybody else have this problem ?

What's an auto wingman?

Do you have auto combat trim on?

For those who don't know: Options>preferences>flight--> Auto Combat Trim turns CT on every time you turn off autopilot. If your speed is low enough when you do you will see the trim move all the way to the right (left for counter-clockwise engines) as CT compensates for what torque would be at mil power.

Auro Wingman Mode is default mapped to CTRL,X.
First, type in .wingman then add another players name. Then when you are close hit Auto Wingman Mode & they are flying for you ("look Ma, no hands") and you stay with them in formation. It works up to 1K distance from them.
Its perfect for being AFK for a quick bathroom break or getting another beer. :D

In the Options>preferences>flight the only thing turned on is Auto Film.
I never use Combat Trim. I don't even have it mapped to my controls.
Thanks for the tip, I never knew that about CT.

(5 minutes later) I just rechecked my controls and found out that CT is back to its Default mapping on my keyboard; I had it deleted. I just deleted it again. However, my keyboard is starting to die on me, (the letter "P" is starting not to work unless I hold it down) I'm getting a new keyboard next friday.

In Frame 1, my keyboard re-mapped itself and there was no "engine start" mapped.

One other odd thing was that I had to move my cursor all the way to one side as it would not disappear with the clipboard, even though the mouse toggle is mapped to the keyboard & I tried to use it.

None of this happens in the main arena. I was flying for several hours before the scenario in LW and had none of these problems. Last Saturday & today are the only times this has happened to me, and only in the scenario.

That's awesome, must've been added while I was away. Btw, I'm pretty sure CT is cntrl x by default.

Very odd indeed. :headscratch:

my mistake, forgot I re-mapped it different for an easier reach to the keyboard & mapped to the throttle as well.
