Oral/Photo History, 422nd NFS (P-61s, Europe)
« on: December 30, 2014, 06:36:57 PM »
Four-part YouTube walk through a P-61 pilot's photo album.

Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiDeHUjVNz0

Worth a look and a like, neat idea.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Had this in my inbox just now:

"Sadly our friend and pilot of the Tennessee Ridge Runner has left on his last patrol.   Lt. John W. Anderson, later promoted to Lt. Colonel, Tennessee Air Guard, and after 42 years of service to this great country died on February 6th, 2015."
