what happened to the CT threads?
« on: September 06, 2001, 12:00:00 PM »
Allways nice to keep up with what is going on in the elite CT arena where things are done the right way.   With no threads I will be left with no other option but to go in there and check it out and that is no option at all.

Laz,
You and I play this game very differently from each other. That is one of the things I think that makes it so cool. Everyone can fly the way they basically want to.

Even cooler is the fact I can do My thing in an arena that can't possibly affect the way you do YOUR thing in a totaly different arena.

Why call it elitist? Why should you even care what we do in that arena since you find even going there not an option? I really don't understand the reason for what I see as an attack on those that do like to fly in the CT.

Do I consider it elitist in any way? Don't think so, I just like that style of flying and air to air combat though I do admit a lot of it seems to end up in low level furrballs, something I don't care for.

Maybe this is just a troll knowing that a lot of readers on this board have been told so many times what you think game play should be like.

It doesn't make me mad or make me foam at the mouth or ruin my day because you posted this, I just am really curious as to the reason for it.

Can you enlighten me please?  :)

I fly mostly MA (due to low numbers in CT when I login... 12 people just ain't my idea of fun for me)...

BUT I like to have the option to go to the CT. The few times I've flown there it's been pretty fun.

I would, however, prefer either an Eastern Front or Pacific theater setup for a week or two.

Swulfe the pac theatre is next i think.I know theres talk of it and the eastern front has been called for too.Dont post here what you want , post in the CT forum as it seems HTC staff are in there quite a bit as they try to give the customers what we've been pleading for  :)
They even added the 190a8 within a few days of the agreement that they would be a good 190a6/a7 replacement by funked and many others.
I can only see the CT going from strengh to strengh if... as things are discussed and agreed on in the forum...they get implemented so quickly. And the fact that if you like to fly allied stuff you fight ONLY axis aircraft and visa versa, for me, makes it an altogether more imersive experience. No unhstorical matchups! real fuel burn rates all add to it! Once numbers begin to grow as HTC introduces more to do im sure it will get quite popular.Ive already had some of the best fights ive ever had in there.

everyone else, get yer ass's in there and see if you like it.If you do then help support it by going there more  :)

I like CT a thousand times over MA, and act accordingly. I'm spending more time there than in MA, and I feel less and less the urge of MA numbers to have fun   ;)

Better sticks there, IMO, and better spirit/education, and this last is not my opinion, it's a fact.   :)

All in all, a very unforgiving environment, as it should be.

Cheers,

Pepe.

Mark,

Lazs has an interesting personality (medically speaking). Not only doesn't he want others affect his way of having fun, which is egoistical but understandable, but obviously he can't stand that others may have another form of fun at all. I'm not sure AH is the best therapy to help the psychologic problems he's suffering from.

PS sorry for the awkward english

Negative Sunchaser....I am still here.  Anytime you wanna head into the CT to do some bombing, let me know.  I gotta warn you though, the most I have ever seen in there is 3 (counting me) so I dont go in there much.  Not sure what time these other guys are in there...I have certainly never seen 30 guys in there at once.

One other warning.....I havent spent much time in bombers lately and I cant hit jack from a gunner position anymore.

Email me at mtodd111@ev1.net and let me know.

mark... i would not say "never" to any arena.  i would maybe like an early war scenario in an historical setting and did in WB HA arena's  The slower planes force the fights to be closer with more action.   The icons don't bother me and the lack of plane choice in early war germany vs england (why kid yourselves about axis vs allied) would be tolerable for a couple of hours or days.   IOf there was action I would enjoy it.

As to "elite"... read pepe's (and others) post.  LOL... they actually believe that they are better or best or whatever... I am at best a mediocre pilot and in any HA that I was ever in (and they all claimed to attract the "best sticks") I did better in the HA than a normal arena.  If you can't read the 'elitism' that is dripping from posts by CT/HA, whatever guys then you are wearing blinders.

further... read the CT or any HA threads... Every single participant knows what is "historical" or what is the "right" way to do an historoical arena and every single one of em is diametricaly opposed to the rest.   Even if they get what they want they can't figure out why no one is flying their way or even in the arena for that matter.

Perhaps if I got everything my way it would empty the MA (impossible but i have to pretend to be modest).

I don't know... it's just fun to watch.
