Arming and re-arming
« on: February 16, 2015, 03:16:00 PM »
We need a little dynamic set up in this area. Not a major requirement though when you hit the re-arm pad you can change ords. It normally takes 30 seconds, maybe you add another 30 seconds though you get to select different ords.

When it comes to arming in the hangar, instead of taking a full load of rockets, etc you can select a lesser number. I know, the easiest way to handle this is to launch with 10 rockets on the P-38 and immediately fire a few to get down to the desired carryout.

I know, I know but...

I kinda like the idea of changing load-out on rearm, maybe make it so you have to park in the hangar.

Take it a step further and make changing armament parking in a hanger that can be destroyed during an attack. This would then tie that feature to the hanger's rebuild time and health.

Now this is good.  I can see you having to pull into a hanger to swap out/add ords and what-not.  But what about our current re-arm pads?  Should they be switched to just a refueling pad?  Go to the hanger to re-arm/re-ord, then move to the refueling pad to refuel.  Something like this?

Wow I find it hard to believe it has been almost 38 days since our last path. We should have release another 38 versions by now  :bhead

Not in a hangar. Could change the load-out.

Make it simpler. When you pull onto the rearm pad, fuel is a given at the moment you stop. You get a popup asking if you want to change your armament. If yes, an ords menu screen in the shows up. After you choose your change and click yes. You incur 30-60 seconds for that added onto the current timer for fuel. If you click no, your current loadout rearms in the initial 30sec timer.

I've always wondered if the way you are stuck with all of your choices until you tower. Is one of the ways hitech keeps the codeing simpler and less buggy to make our game play smoother while protecting the integrity of the game.

Ok, then just add extra time on the rearm pad for changing load out.

Then put the repair pad in the hangar  :D

How about re-arm pads on v-bases. I land at them all the time because I'm out of ammo.. Be nice to be able to re-arm.

How about rearm pads in the indestructible.

If you can get your entire plane inside, you get rearm.

If you can get back out.......you da man.

Same for the stationary cv at ports.

Very few planes or pilots could pull this off so why not reward skill?
