I spent my lunch hour admiring her, absolutely magnificent. Not as big as I imagined but twice as scary/deadly as I had dreamed. As I walked toward her, I had tears in my eyes.
Place was packed, very long lines to walk through her.
I was in line to pay the $10 entry fee and behind me in a wheel chair is an elderly gentleman being pushed by what I had to assume was his daughter who was probably 70. He was wearing a hat that read, "B29 Crew" on it. I leaned in to the guy taking the money and asked "Does everyone pay the $10 dollar fee" and moved my eyes toward the guy behind me. He said yes, so I was honored to pay for him too. There are some things that are priceless.

Every single one of "The Greatest Generation". Thank you for the freedom I have and enjoy.
