If you have a chance go see her. My boy and I saw her at the Reading WWII weekend a few years back   She is a sight to behold for sure

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

When the game is over, the Kings and Pawns all go into the same box.

Sure she goes out of town to visit a flash her tail at the boys, but she always comes home to me. :neener:

I spent my lunch hour admiring her, absolutely magnificent.  Not as big as I imagined but twice as scary/deadly as I had dreamed.  As I walked toward her, I had tears in my eyes.

Place was packed, very long lines to walk through her.

I was in line to pay the $10 entry fee and behind me in a wheel chair is an elderly gentleman being pushed by what I had to assume was his daughter who was probably 70.  He was wearing a hat that read, "B29 Crew" on it.  I leaned in to the guy taking the money and asked "Does everyone pay the $10 dollar fee" and moved my eyes toward the guy behind me.  He said yes, so I was honored to pay for him too.  There are some things that are priceless.

:salute Every single one of "The Greatest Generation".  Thank you for the freedom I have and enjoy.

She landed here in NJ at Teterboro while in transit to an airshow. The ground crew were great. I parked my car walked out to the flight-line and asked if I could get up close and they said sure. I spent an hour talking to them and crawling all over that airplane.
This was before 9/11. Today if I tried walking out to the flight-line it might not end pretty.
