TARGET is worth learning. Great for mapping trim to HAT switch and quadrupling the inputs of all the buttons negating the need to use the keyboard. Nice to be able to point your nose at a target then push a button that will auto-angle, delay, stabilize then fire all rockets, drop all bombs and automatically release auto-angle and then you just manually jinx away(if you're low) from ack on ship and hanger killing sorties with the press of a single button. if you use that method your hanger and ship kills rate will double if you currently have problems hitting them.
With TARGET your hands never need to leave the joystick except to use chat.
Great also for multiple joystick configs for different aircraft/vehicles. Using a $25 Thrustmaster T16000m it will takes the place of dual throttle for like for p38s, A20. Easily have variable rudder/aileron/elevator inputs rates for planes with small or larger control surfaces ect. Set up a basic BnZ config and turn fighter config. so the stick always feels the same with the amount of physical input you use. It's also easier on the joystick physically. You can take your basic TARGET config and modify them with cut and paste clicking making the creation of new configs a snap.
If you can put together one of them Chinese import tricycles with the so called instructions and missing nut or bolt or two you can learn TARGET in an hour or so.
