There's a whole slew of hilariously bad photoshops...  The three that stand out the most are one with han solo standing in the foreground obviously having just shot it down, another one where the millennium falcon has been put in place of the crashed plane, and the best one shows the medical crews carrying him away encased in the carbonite block.

I'm sure there are others but those struck me as super funnay.

edit - here is one, if it will embed...

This incident will likely result in the closure of Santa Monica, which has been barely resisting the efforts to close it for a very long time. Not Mr. Ford's fault though, but just another nail in the coffin.

An emergency landing after an engine failure on low alt. He did a terrific job in putting the plane down.
According to the NTSB the engine died after being hit by fire from an P-51 that HO:ed him and then ran away.

A Ryan making a forced landing onto a golf course is going to close Santa Monica....?  You make me laugh sometimes.

I saw the video of the plane filmed from the golf course.  I wouldn't exactly say it was at "low alt".  The plane is basically just a dot in the video, and you can see it making a turn.  They said he was cruising at 3000 feet and had been airborne for 20 minutes when his engine quit.
Currently ignoring Vraciu as he is a whoopeeed retard.

Conflicting news about his condition. On the first news they say he's fine and just a couple of bruises and cuts, on the other news Calista has been racing to the hospital and back crying.

He was semi-conscious when pulled from the aircraft, according to an interview I saw.  It was reported today that he has had multiple surgeries to repair a broken ankle and broken pelvis.

Perspective.

I've had engines quit at alts from 50' to 10000' and each and every time I wished I was higher.   :D

For a man in his age these surgeries are certainly life threatening.

Rich numpties have been trying to get it shut down for years. Makes perfect sense to buy a house near an airport then complain the airport is there.  FAA lease runs out in a few months (July 2015). Going to be interesting once that happens.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if they pull a Meigs 2.0 so some developer can build a couple thousand micro apartments with 3k/mo rent.
