You should have invested to a quality aftermarket cooler instead of a new CPU if you wanted to overclock, that's the only problem I see here.

oh you mean like one of these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118003&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-CPU+Fans+%26+Heatsinks-_-N82E16835118003&gclid=CIO8iquqtMQCFWVp7AodLXgAkg&gclsrc=aw.ds

its on my cpu now..... I have a full tower case(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811103011) with a 850w power supply, 2X10 inch fans on the side of the case plus the zalman cooler for my cpu..... cooling isn't an issue hehehe.

Jaeger, on my old machine I had that same Zalman heatsink on an 7-930, and was able to run that at 3.5 GHz with no issues.  :aok

just to give some insight, this is my tower. its a full tower.
I keep having this urge to say "this is my tower, my full tower, there is no other tower like it!!"--full metal jacket!! LOL

its about 21 inches high. the copper thingy(yes that's a technical term) you see is my zalman cooler.

under that is the new Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 gaming card. as you can see its quite large. id have to say,
if I didn't have a full tower, id have a tough time fitting it.

little bit of a better shot at the video card and the CPU cooler. there phone is a Iphone5 in a otter box, just to give
you a size reference. the case weighs 35lbs so I need a platform with casters to move it around.

here you can see all 6 of my memory slots are filled---18gigs worth!!

as for cooling-- heres my CPU Cooler!

and if all that isn't enough, I have 2X fans on the side of the case!

As an update I installed the Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 gamer... in the HTC beta I went from 0fps at A1 to 60fps.
the new game is now playable. did I need such a big upgrade? who knows, but it works and I like it and
I had plenty of room for the card, a smaller computer case, you might have some problems. I just wanted
people to get an idea of how big some of these cards are. good luck and thanks for everyones input, it was
actually very helpful. I almost settled for a GTX 960 until I saw someones post! im glad I went for the extra
money instead. thanks everyone!! <S>

I was looking for my bottle of air, but I couldn't find it. it wasn't that bad so I left it. normally I blow it out with my shopvac, but it was snowing outside this morning when
I started working on it so I didn't bother. figured it could wait another month or so....
