she struck
« on: March 24, 2015, 01:53:53 AM »
and with the rain and 90s I have my first 2015 mosquito bite.   :furious

I'm the lucky one that always gets bit first. In a desert w/ voracious skeeters  :headscratch:   damn "gofers"

Heart Guard your dogs, please ppl. Over the years my ex and I rescued/fostered/re-homed 2 dogs with heart worm. One was advanced stage in a Great Dane; we weren't sure he was going to make it. The regimen is bedrest with bathroom priv; yes bedrest for a dog (for weeks nonetheless).

Also, the heart worm test/meds pales in cost...

The mosquito is Maine's state bird.

We won't see them until late April/ May. There's still 18" of snow on the ground here.

Thanks for the reminder about the dog meds.
