I can't speak for all of Texas, but a severe weather alert wouldn't even warrant a look out of the window here lol.

Group of us just got done turkey hunting northwest of Concordia, KS in the northern part of the state. We cut our afternoon hunt short today and barely escaped the approaching storms, diverting east and south to Topeka rather than south to Wichita. The landowner we had been hunting with kept us up to date on the storms and sent us pictures of the funnel clouds. The towns of Norway, Scandia and Belleville (where our motel was) were all damaged. He said one of the three funnels he witnessed passed between his and his parent's homes by a half-mile gap. Finally stopped over in Parsons, KS in the southeast part of the state for the night, looks like a chance for scattered t-storms tonight but no twister outbreaks.

On days like today you can just feel the energy in the sky...bad thing about the eastern part of Oklahoma I have found is all the storms hit here after dark...not like when I lived in the south central part of state...tornado time was 3-6 pm there...here its 9-midnight  :O

This storm off the coast of SC/NC takes a spiral shape in latest sat images;  http://ge.ssec.wisc.edu/modis-today/   looks like a weak hurricane;  in news this evening they said this is unusual early for this kind of sub/ tropical depression;

The Tornado that went through Bridgecreek Ok On May 7th, yesterday, got my Daughters house, not much damage, but they need a new roof... we were looking to buy a new house near her and my realtor called today and told me that three of the house's we were looking at to buy are all gone... Glade we decided not to buy one of those three.

A bunch of small, violent storms popping up around me right now.  Good thing is they are small and hauling ass.
