Zackary you cad! At it again I see! You know full well the US supplied Finland with the superlative Brewster 239. In turn the Finns sent there squadrons of Brews to win the battle for you!

So in this order the Battle was won by...
The Generous offerings of the United States.
The Brewster Buffalo 239
The Finn air force.

Nuff said! :old:

Take a look at this it paints a totally different standpoint
It states that Finland attacked The Soviets in 1941 not the other way round
It also says that the Finns refused help from the allies not the allies inc U.K refusing help

That is the version of history the soviet propaganda is still telling its students even years after president Yeltsin publicly admitted that the starting shots of the war were staged by the Soviet army. That is, when talking about the winter war. The continuation war was started with Germany to regain the ground that Russians took during the winter war.

We have certain foreign agents or co-operators in the country who spread misinformation and propaganda. Why they're not locked up as enemy of state I really don't know.

On the contrary you SHOULD lock up people who spread lies and propaganda with the intent of hurting your country. Or at minimum ban them from the country.

It's a stripped down version of the Navy buffalo. They thought they were giving us junk but in stripping off all the protections they made the plane so much lighter that it became an absolute joy to fly. All the pilots loved it, except for the lack of speed later in the war.

I've read many books written by brewster pilots and I especially recall one scene where they were going to engage fleets of russian planes and the brewster pilots were looking with envy how the Messerschmitts of another squadron were outclimbing them at huge speed. The finnish brewsters had a modified DC-3 engine. The engine had bad reliability problems until the mechanics detected a flaw in design and reversed a piston ring, after that the engine was very reliable.

Yes, that is the absolute truth. Some people still say that one Finn equals at least ten Russians, so it was perfectly logical to try to conquer the entire Soviet Union after having humiliated Mr. Stalin in the Winter War.

In the UK you don't share thousands of kilometers of border with Russia. You're either daft or trolling. Or a bit of both.
