mapped key - expanding text buffer

Default key (tilde) for expanding the text buffer.  Have never changed it, shows it is still mapped,  highlights in key mapping when pressed, key functions when typing.

For about a week it no longer expands the text buffer.   I know another key could simply be mapped, but I would like to find the root of the issue should it occur with another key down the road.

Happens to me at times as well. Turned out that not the key was dysfunctional, but the enlarged and 'standard' text windows were suddenly without reason of the same size. Just increase the text window with your mouse to the desired size, your key should now toggle between two different sizes again.
