There are tons of awesome mods for NV. I think I had 20 gigs or more installed last time I played through it.

Post apocalyptic Skyrim, if you're familiar with Skyrim.  Post apocalyptic open world FPS with some RPG elements if you're not.

The thing with the Fallout and Skyrim games that I love, is you shoot a guy carrying a rifle, he's carrying that rifle when you loot him.  You're not going to shoot a crow and find it carrying a pistol.

The Bethseda games are IMO the best open world games on the market.  Ridiculous amounts of places to explore with decent storylines in a lot of them.

It's also a retro-future style that I really like. Sort of like what people thought the future would look like in the 50's, then blown to hell in a nuclear apocalypse. Here's someone playing the beginning of the previous title, Fallout 3: New Vegas. Still an excellent game, made even better by a huge modding community.

I could never really get into Fallout 3 or NV, the mods were the only thing that made it fun for me. This game though is beautiful and looks like it'll be worth a try.  :aok

It's going to be curious to see how it stacks against The Witcher 3, which is probably the best RPG to be released since Baldur's Gate.
