While it's a nice video it isn't a cinematic bonanza. It does however show where your having a few issues.
1, you have a bad case of the "nose bounce". You either have to learn to go MUCH easier on the stick, or use the scaling to take the edge off in both the elevator and rudder axises. Each wiggle you have burns a bit more E
2, get some E! Learn to hold on to it. On the first merge you had with the LA you turned a full 360 turn almost on the edge of a black out, that burns a lot of E. Your not going to get around on him in that one turn so don't bother to try. Once he goes by your better off leveling off and building a bit more E. He'll come back.... well most do

As you see him turning back towards you point your nose down a bit a start a lazy turn back into him. Turn tighter as he gets close and try to be looking out the top of your plane as he gets into guns range (600), go flat and level pointing your wing tip at him, then pull up and roll to the opposite side of where he is coming from. (If your left wing is pointing at him, pull up and roll right). Depending on his speed you could roll onto his tail long enough for a shot.
If he pulls away level and do the same thing again. Eventually the E will equalize between you and you'll be able to follow him up and pop him as he stalls.
3, Think AHEAD. When you were going for the first couple of shots granted you were low E and so couldn't maneuver well, but you still seem to try to point you nose at his plane. WRONG! point your nose AHEAD of his plane, where he is going. In the second shot he was low E and really had only one way to go. You could have got your self much farther out front and surely would have had a great shot, and with those cannons it can be the only one you need.
Keep at it Mike! Soon we'll get you in a real plane
