This Week in the AvA --- Uncle Sam's Spitfires
« on: July 17, 2015, 08:44:54 AM »
Uncle Sam's Spitfires
The 31st FG Nov.1942 - Sept.1943

Based on the 31st FG's combat experience during the last
phase of the North African desert war and the first half of
the Italain campaign, this setup pits the 31st against
almost everything the Luftwafe and Italian Royal Air Force
had to offer. The 31st would end the war as the highest
scoring Allied unit in the MTO and flew some of the most
iconic aircraft including the Spitfire and later the P-51.
