16 Kills in under 10 minutes

I've had 34 kills in 4 second   some years back I caught a large b17 mission with escorts about to takeoff. I strafed them with a fully loaded 262 and 34 planes exploded on the runway. I was quickly PMed by more then a few of them saying: you F$%# and you lucky B. I landed safely and will never forget the absolute carnage a 262 can inflict in just one 500mph pass. It was felt better then my wife and she is amazing not to mention young and hot

It was actually 43 kills in ~60 minutes, which consisted of a 17 kill sortie, a 16 kill sortie, and two 5 kill sorties, all back-to-back.

I still call BS. You are getting some phenomenal damage compared to what I see Bish guns do. 1 burst and planes explode. If my guns did that too, I might understand.  Something ain't right.

years ago there were guys that would do that on a regular basis and they hated score so  they never looked. its not an impossible task. JG54, once upon a time,  had 3 guys that wouldn't land with less then 10 kills per sortie. they weren't padding their score, they just enjoyed pissing people off!

So what? They would crash if they had 9 but were missing half their plane?

It's just gunnery. A one-half second burst in a D9 puts out about twelve 20mm rounds... and the same burst in an LA-7 puts out about twenty 20mm rounds. If you're ~15% accurate (functionally where my accuracy currently is), that's two or three 20mm impacting your opponent every time you pull the trigger. If you're steady with your aim, those rounds will usually hit the same component and cause it to fail. And that's just a half-second burst.

Factor in longer bursts, cockpit hits, the additional damage that the machine guns in the D9 cause, etc., and you can easily do 14-18 kills in a D9 in a single sortie without rearming (I have one or two 14 kill sorties uploaded to my YouTube channel). An LA-7 can usually get 12 if everything is done optimally (I had a 12 kill sortie the night before in the LA-7). Even a mid-war Spit IX can get 10-12.

Most of my D9 sorties are landed because of run out of fuel, not ammo (and I usually take 100% fuel).

Also, you realize I was flying as a Bishop during the sortie in question, right?

I can't quite say what my record of kills is in 17 min but I'm gonna have to say it was mid to high teens in a la7 and once in a k4 about 3 years ago.

Ive gotten 5 fighter kills in under a minute while flying the F4u-1. Apparently TBMs make great bait.

A 40 round burst with .50s is enough to rip the wing of a spitfire or kill a pilot and a Dora as an insane amount of ammo and firepower so i dont see it remarcable with 14 kills.

Have 5 kills with the Brew without reloading and then it have 1200 .50 rounds compare to 500 20mm + 950 .50:s for the dora....

Sorry to say but when bish run there horde missions they are all very much into hitting there targets and have very little thought of defending themselves, or fighting. With a good aim and big cannons, this is very easy to do.

The 190D has an extremely lethal gun package. 500 cannons with however many Mgs can wipeout huge heards of Buffalo. The cannons do the job well. One of my favorite gun packages/platforms other than the P38.

Dont think Ive gone past 5 in a sortie, almost never rearm dough. Hard to do 10+ in EW planes.
Need to learn how to fly those über rides. I dont think ive killed anything in a LA-7 yet...

You don't need a late war plane like an La7 to get a large kill streak per sortie.
