Hmmm... I adjusted the colors in the image HT posted and it appears below.  Look carefully at and around the airplane.  Please commence wild-eyed speculative discussion now... :)

Yeah, I saw the IAS and ALT readout in the upper-left. Didn't notice the pitch indicator though. Probably part of HT's debug console. Can't believe that would be part of the new update to make it easier to fly in 3rd-person view.

I too hope we NEVER SEE THAT IN GAME!

I think the pitch indicator will be an optional ON/OFF setting like stall limiter.

Obviously external mode is disabled in the MA and it would be a helpful tool for newer pilots (or anyone who can't read an instrument) to appreciate whether they are climbing/diving.

One thing I noticed in HT's pic was the cloud colour,  do clouds reflect colour/light in the current version??   :headscratch:

Please make the lens flare switchable. It is a useless effect IMO.

Hardcore gamers just don't appreciate the ethereal beauty of a long walk on a beach at sunset.

Many of these guys are going to turn off everything they can to gain a combat advantage. Then complain in the forums about how bad the game looks in their personalized game advantage modified mode. And blame it all on Hitech.

Currently, cloud color is simply an arena color setting and has nothing to do with sky or light color.

looks great.

Question (maybe already answered somewhere): To get the new effects within the game are we going to have to (or perhaps encouraged) carry out an upgrade on our current vid cards?

Good chance of that. Looks like I will need a whole new computer.
