Mythbusters final season
« on: January 04, 2016, 12:19:39 PM »
Seen on discovery Mythbusters  is on the final season. You think they are tired of it or the fact that the producers axed the three sidehosts that caused the show to lose viewers

Ratings. They went back to original format to try to improve ratings. Mythbusters was bailing water its last few seasons. It's not getting the axe because it went back to the original format of two hosts, it's getting the axe despite it.

Just like the weather report, Mythbusting is much less interesting without a hot chick.
"Then out spake brave Horatius, the Captain of the gate:
To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."

The show lost lots of credibility for me when they started redesigning the designs of stuff they were trying to Mythbust; like "this design doesn't look safe, so let's weld together 20 more pounds of steel to beef it up...Hey, this myth is busted because the device can't possibly fly". That, and their incessant need to blow stuff up at the end, "just because we can".

The whole show got out of hand, and waaaay off track from where it started.

The last season without the other three wasnt as interesting as before. I fast forwarded through 75% recorded on the dvr just to get to interesting bits. With the others they added extra fun bits that filled in between what jamie and adam were doing

Frankly I thought the interaction of the younger folks made the show more than did the originators. I enjoyed some of the "myths" but when they axed the 3 co hosts it lost most of the appeal to sit through the boring stuff just to get to the conclusion.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN

Honestly when it first started I hoped for a modern Bill Nye theme then it went to something that Michael Bay influenced "explosions for the sake of explosions with no content"
