It's not a "vital" wish, tho it would add realism :

Some simulation games (like IL2 for exemple) had a very simple attribution program based on player's name letters (very simple algorythm program) that made every player get a specific GV/plane number, which added realism by giving (as much as possible) unique numbers to players.

It might be nice to get the same thing in Aces High 3... As in WWII we could, sometimes ,recognize our enemy by reading the numbers(or letters for US/GB) planes/GVs : A cool feature, and not too hard(i guess) to incorporate...   :)

That doesn't really matter in this game because unless you're 10 yards away you can't make out what letters the pixels are spelling out. The real world and how games down-res everything to blocky black pixels do not really compare with each other.

In IL2 the codes are mostly for the player's benefit, and not other players.
