Take my word for it, you have not seen dumb drivers until you have ridden a motorcycle among them.  Yes, I ride like an idiot but that is quite different than "dumb".

Bikes were quite attractive to me until I saw how many close calls occur around them.  Once I realized that, I decided I liked my cage and airbags.  Like Red Green said, "I'm in a car.  You're in a helmet."

From what I can tell, nobody I have ever seen can navigate a roundabout successfully.

bikes were cool until a middle aged woman spritzes you for riding behind her and there is nothing you can do but accelerate past her very very angrily.....

I wonder which idiot actually came up with the idea for it.  I have been in this country since 1980 and i have seen exactly 1.  and that is at a mall and it causes lots of accidents because most people have never seen one so they dont know what to do.

I have been driving for around 35 years, have seen maybe 2 or 3 only 1 in this country, maybe 1 or 2 in mexico.

as for those of you in bikes on the freeway.  keep driving in and out and switching lanes at fast speed.  I am pretty sure all drivers will see you.  now that's what I call being dumb.

Semp, there are more and more of these "round-abouts" being installed in Arizona.  I have one on my way home every day.  It has clear sight lines so I can see everyone approaching from quite far away.  If there aren't any vehicles near, this "round-about" quickly tuns into a "chicane" on my bike.

We have lots of round-a-bouts/rotaries here in New England and for the most parts have no issues driving through them.... be it a bit fast and aggressive, it is New England after all, but I have NEVER seen anyone back through one.
