Adding more ammo options
« on: September 12, 2015, 07:59:04 AM »
i was thinking that we don't have much choice on what ammo a tank can have since we only have HE,AP,and HVAP rounds for tanks. As well as not having a choice the choice of what rounds the aircraft has.

IIRC, aircraft ammunition is averaged for effect. So rather than the German cannon having, say, alternating HE and Mine rounds, instead the damage potential is averaged across ALL rounds.

Personally, I'd LOVE to see HTC change to an actual belted model, where each round would have different properties. IE alternating AP-API-AP-API-Tracer on the Brownings.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

What real world alternatives were you thinking of, for different ammunition types?
