So, what kind of radar are you modelling on this beast?

The 17x17 "matress" SK radar, the SG radar, and The Mk3. Plus the radar on the mk38 fire director. MK37 directors were already done from the carrier.  :)

So this Mk38 radar unit correct?

This Mk 3 with optical range finder?

And the SG (S Band) search radar (30 miles?)

And the SK aircraft radar with a 100 mile radius?

(Sorry all, I'm a comms & electronics military veteran - I find this stuff interesting as it 'was' my job years ago).

What it means is that a Battleship could detect an aircraft from 100 miles away from the SK radar, and the SG could pin-point it (I may be wrong).  The Mk3 and the Mk38 were pretty neat surface-to-surface battle radars.

That is very purdy.  Don't jump over board.  There is a white tip shark off the port side waiting for an easy meal.

No, really. there is a shark there, I can see it.  I want to be able to sit on the side of that ship dangling my feet while holding a fishing rod with reel.  Can we can we can we pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze?
