Checking in after 5 years, What's changed?
« on: October 01, 2015, 01:07:56 PM »
Before I continue let me say its nice to see you all again. I have recently been certified for aircraft maintenance and iv been settling down after college while I look for work. I know much has changed after 5 years with aces high and I wanna know what and hopefully for the better. I see that they did up the graphics which was a much needed thing with all the competition. But I have a few questions about where we are now. See there are a few reasons I left. Obviously life being one of them but now I'm becoming established and still think about this game from time to time. The other reasons do to the game and that's said with respect. About 5 years ago (or what it seems dont quote me) maps became huge the population the opposite. Graphics could not keep up with competition. Flying around these huge maps and a hour gos by before you get a fight. Squad missions no longer heard of. Furballs became just a single hair strand. People that played for years flying by your side stopped and eventually half your squad left. Game became repetitive with lack of players and strats seemed to become a joke to most. Gv battles went from dozes to few. Just a year earlier it seemed like the prime time to be on. Full MA arenas and not just the opposite of what I mentioned above but it was totally different. Missions, furballs, strat raids. Gv battles with dozens.

Now I don't say this to instigate anything that's just my, let's say "consumers Opinion".May  not apply to any of you. Not to mention this was 5 years ago when people like vanscrew, and ghi were still on, <-- those guys still on?... This has brought me to the big question guys and I'm sure others may have the same question.

Noting what i have mentioned above. What has changed and is it worth coming back on? What's new? Who still plays? What do most do when playing nowadays?

Anybody here still remember flying with me 5 years ago? Wanna remember old wingys

I suggest you get a subscription for a month and see. The only thing you will get from these forums is some guy babbling about his B17 skills.

Mine are mediocre at best. But you are correct.

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

When the game is over, the Kings and Pawns all go into the same box.
