With over 16 million direct descendants living today, every day is the birthday of 43,000 of them.

It doesn't necessarily mean that he did a crazy amount of breeding considering that he lived some 30 generations ago. Exponential growth is a squeak.

Snail, about that photo of The Duke... did you know that John Wayne's film "The Conqueror" was filmed downwind of a nuclear weapon test site? Many of the cast and crew later died of oddball cancers. See this link.
