Mouse Control - Tank/ Manned Guns

Much better prior to these last changes to mouse control.

You literally feel stupid sitting there slapping a mouse around to turn a gun.  If you turn the senstivity up, its too jerky to aim.

Please put it back to a system where it functions like plane control surfaces, it stays where the input is until you move it the other way.

I just lowered my mouse sensitivity until I got the amount of motion I wanted for each stroke. I'm using an old Dell optical USB mouse. I used to do the same thing with a Logitec thumb marble. You may need to uncouple your mouse as the primary flight controller and set it up as a gun only controller in Mode3. My mouse works fine in Mode1 for turret control in bombers. I do Mode2 for manned guns because I have zoom mapped differently for GVs and commander mode.

So you are stroking the mouse?  That kind of goes against mt point.. the guns used to me moveable without picking the mouse up at all.  And the fact you had to configure a mouse to work properly, doesnt seem new user friendly.

As mentioned before.. the use of a mouse and manned guns has been the same for almost 17 years, and was ideal.  Never had to configure anything, and it made sense. It mimmicked the way input on plane control surfaces work.

Ive spent some time trying to configure the settings to make them work as before, but it doesnt seem possible.

The small amount of time I play now.. both of gv and gun aspects are out of my options for gameplay.

Not sure what exactly is being asked here.  When I'm in a gun or tank, I have a circle with a pointer and an arrow on it.  I can move my turret/gun to any position I want using the arrow, and the pointer will track to that location at the traverse speed of the weapon.  I can go in any direction, and do a full 360 without need of picking up the mouse and moving it.  It almost sounds like a mouse sensitivity issue.

Not a mouse player but after reading I decided to look and what he is saying is that the mouse used to work like a joystick, move it right from center and the gun/turret would rotate right until you moved the mouse back to center position. Now it is like you are moving the stopping point of the turret based on how far you move the mouse and the turret rotates till it reaches that point and then you have to move the mouse again to get it to move and your starting point for moving the mouse has now moved from where you began; there is no center. I guess depending on settings you have to pick up and reposition the mouse to get all the way around 360. I'm guessing joystick type mode would be better.

Ahhhh -- that's not a recent change though.  The mouse function changed with the ASDW control change on vehicles in AH2.

In that case maybe I don't understand what Lazerr meant.
