PERK POINTS FOR NEWBIES

     HOW ABOUT GIVING NEW PLAYERS COMPLIMENTORY PERK POINTS.  THEY NEED AN ADVANTAGE MORE THAN ANY OTHERS..   PERK POINTS SEEM TO BE A CONCEPT THAT COUNTERDICTS THE ENY CONCEPT OF EQUALIZING GAME PLAY ANYWAY.  THE BETTER PLAYERS GET MORE ADVANCES EQUIPMENT.  THAT MIGHT BE FRUSTRATING TO MANY NEW PLAYERS AND A REASON THEY OPT OUT SOONER.   WHY NOT  OFFER A LIMITED AMOUNT OF PERKS FOR SALE EACH MONTH.    $$$$$$$$$

I actually like the idea of giving a new subscriber a helping of x amount of free perk points as a "thank you for subscribing!" kind of thing, but perks planes are not really an automatic equalizer. You still need to know how to fly the plane in order to be successful. The cold hard truth in this game is you just have to put in hard work in order to be competitive against vets of the game. I think the best way to help ease a new player into this game is some kind of tutorial option where you can log into the offline area and a voice will teach you the basics of what you want to know such as: How to capture bases, How to spawn vehicles and use gvs, How to takeoff planes (land bases and CVs), how to land (land bases and CVS), basic fighter maneuvers, gunnery practice, how to use bombs/rockets, etc etc

I'm all for this, but alas, I started agian too late

I don't see that it will help that much, Even if a newbie gets a 100 perks that's 2 sorties w a Tempest and then its gone. Only category it would be useful is for GV:s, M4-76, M-18 etc aren't that expensive and having them available from the beginning would help. (GV perks are on the other hand easy to harvest w supply runs).

How about like 3 tempests, two 262s, 5 c-hogs, 5 -4 hogs, ect? Give them just a few perk rides for subscribing. Once they land the plane is gone too. It's just so they can try them out.

   IT DEPENDS ON THE ENY  PERK CORSAIRS  CAN COST AROUND 10 POINTS. SO GIVE  THEM 500 POINTS.   SELLING POINTS MIGHT HELP MINIMIZE THE AFKS AT NIGHT TOO..

Free samples can be found offline, TA, CA, and DA. Giving free perks to people is like giving free perks to the experienced kinda pointless.

Plus newbies will probably cry tears after they lawndart all their perks trying to vulch 800mph in a jet. Then demand more handouts... Catering to the lazy solves nothing.

Another way to do it would be to simply have all perked rides enabled during the 30 day free trial (see what I did there? :)).   Any perks accrued they could keep afterwards.

I'm okay with it, mainly because I think it'll be inconsequential for the noob but a lot of fun for others. Noob in a Tempest = dead Tempest, typically... Noob in a 262 = 262 trying to turnfight... and stalling.

Perk the Spixteen... boring and too easy... Then you can have noobs in the Spixteen getting killed too. Oh, wait, that already happens.

Yes, I'm all for anything that brings in new people. There are only so many 2CMEXs you want to encounter in a day. That said, I need to credit CMex for using that N1K2. I actually evaded him the other night (after he'd gotten himself a shot, even) and felt as good as if I'd gotten a kill.

I really love this idea, mentioned in Fess' rant, of the better sticks flying the lesser tin. Violator in a P-40? Tres cool. I mean, I fly junk, and I'm just a marginal part-timer who knows enough to know he's not that good. If the strong players fly the garbanzo, it will illuminate new paths for the ordinary players, and lend both excitemnt and validation to the large accumulated plane set we enjoy.

People probably don't know about those options and when is anyone ever in the DA? Just give people a few to try out and let them do whatever they want with them just to try the game out.
