Please send more Rondas...this one is broken.

Holm spent very little time in kickboxing.  She was a 4 time world champion B O X E R.  She is too experienced, too strong, too rangy and has a much better corner than Ronda will ever have regarding both standup fighting and fight planning.

This fight wasn't even close.  Ronda can't beat this chick and if you guys saw something different, you were watching a different fight.

Wonder how this fight would have gone if she was still depending on her paycheck from winning fights?

She spent plenty of time within clinch range but rarely attempted it.

I am the opposite of an expert, but I was wondering the same thing.  Why try to box with a boxer when her strength is grappling?

I remember seeing some fights a long time ago with one of the Gracey's in it.  He didn't spend any time at all boxing -- just work to deflect a punch or two while he went straight for the grapple.

No more than you need to Google "female body"

She tried twice and failed twice.  Just because Rousey wanted to grab her doesn't mean she was going to let her.  She defended two takedowns and straight out muscled Rouseys arm bar attempt.

Rousey needs more training.

Yep and yep.

Great video which breaks it down very accurately IMO.  Not only did Holm out fight her in stand up, her take down defense and cage defense were just better than Rousey's offense in both departments.  Holm wasn't just a better boxer/kickboxer, she was a better fighter in every department.  If Ronda had used a judo throw on her, maybe that would have been one area where Ronda "won" in some segment of that fight, but she didn't - she lost in every single category, including conditioning.  Holm running at 10k altitude all the time and other cardio/work was better than Ronda's by far.  Ronda was breathing out of her mouth in the first minute of that fight.

The woman stopped being a fighter mentally when she started making money as an actress.

Rousey needs more training.

Even during the KO sequence, she was easily within clinch range.

I'm not talking shooting takedowns from the outside because they were both banging inside..........within clinch range.

I've spent enough time boxing and training other martial arts to know that what I saw was Ronda missing many opportunities and throwing her game plan completely out the window.

Agreed she didn't look like the normal Ronda Rousey that I've always watched when she fought, she was trying to box with a boxer and not stick with her game plan and paid the price. If there's a rematch I think she might take it a little bit more seriously and stick to her game plan.

Except for the two clinch-to-throw (her judo specialty) that Ronda failed at, you would be right.  Except for those two, lol.  Oh, and the actual takedown that resulted in a failed arm bar (again, her specialty).

Apparently the time you have spent competing in high level boxing and martial arts hasn't really helped you see better.  Just saying.  The fight didn't last long enough for there to be many more opportunities for clinch-girl.

And, she got out coached, out-gamed, and didn't stick to her own gameplan.  Those aren't marks of a champion.  She needs more training lol

Considering her beat down perhaps now would be a good time to approach her about dating? She's at her weakest point in life right now, maybe I have a shot!
