This was my super bettle...

Painted it myself and while this one "looked" neat the one I had before this one was more fun. 69 with oversized jugs, think it was 1800+ and a sweet little cam that made it "thump" through the bullet pipes while sitting at a light.  :devil

ahhh the good old days before responsibility and kids came into play.

Now Im stuck riding around in this....

Bugs are great and iconic vehicles. So simple and functional. Second most produced car of all time after the Toyota Corolla.

I took my friends bug out the other day. Probably the only car i wouldn't mind being caught in traffic with... No clutch pedal, just let up on the gas and go. Really good feeling behind it.

My first car was a 1969 Type III. I moved to 1965 bug with a 1600 in it later. I liked many aspects of the bug, but they had their faults. New engines every 5 years (at $800 a pop... no big deal), poor brakes, poor heat/defrost, horrible understeer with an occasional sudden occurrence of rapid oversteer, as well as being virtual deathtraps in an accident. I preferred the early 80s rabbit/jetta by a long shot.

As for the trailer, it's neat to look at but trying to pull something that heavy with 60hp would prove fun on any kind of incline.
