Like I said I hadn't used it in a while. It worked just fine and quality was fine also but it was generating some hefty files. I've since switched to OBS to save on HD space which also works fine although at a step down in quality from the uncompressed avi that Fraps puts out. I also have a Twitch channel hence OBS. Both Fraps and OBS capture my views whether they be via TIR or hat.

I use Loilo, which is free: http://loilo.tv/us/product/game_recorder

I play at 4k, record at 1920x1080 60fps, but you can also set it to 30, or 29.94, etc.

I also use UTVideo codec in Premiere Pro. If you upload at 60fps it will take forever, but it is most excellent.

Been using Fraps for all my videos . never had a problem getting 60 fps or 1080 res. somewhat surprised that the video card would hinder the recording. i have made videos at full game res max settings and still made very high quality videos, example  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mq7AQnOEFVE

Looks like 30fps to me. AH was giving you 60fps, but FRAP was either not recording at 60fps or when you uploaded it then it was changed to 30fps.

Fraps was recording at 60 fps , but after doing a bit of research i found out that my videos are uploaded at 30 fps using windows movie maker . thanks for pointing that out . now i have found a way to change windows movie maker to save at the 60 fps .

Well, you are correct. I can't tell you how long I have lived with the mistaken belief that it would not do it, but it is working now. My mistake!

The first one is usable, but the compression is awful. The second one I could not view, because I am getting the same message.

You were doing real good against the C2 until the A5 cut in.

I have Junky's issue with the film viewer.  Is there a way to set your views in the film to emulate what we have the head positions set to in the game?

It's kind of strange but the film viewer doesn't make use of your in-game head positions. You have to pause a film and set them all in the viewer as you would in the game to get them to work. Once that's done your views recorded by the hat switch will look right. The viewer doesn't show views if you're using TIR. If you didn't use a hat at any point in the film it'll just look straight ahead the whole time.  Be great if the films could capture the TIR views too.
