Been flying with my new Thrustmaster T16000 for the past few days. Still getting used to it, but I like the feel of it. Great buy for the price. Nice feel, calibrates good. The only problem I have is the buttons. Not enough four ways.

What did you do with your previous stick?

Inside it there's a circuit board with wires going to buttons and hats and pots. Get a nice case and a fistful of cheap buttons and switches and build a nice left hand button box.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

I still have both of them (combat and fighterstick) I am looking at changing out one of the hats from the Fighterstick to Combat stick. as that is all that is wrong with it. Maybe two of them if I can fit them in there. But I am enjoying the T 16000 right now.

I ended up buying the CH combatstick. It was a fair price and I watched a video that really kinda showed how bad the button placement was on the X-55, even though it did look pretty cool and maybe a good stick. I felt that the buttons had an easier and more relaxed placement. I chose the combatstick over the the fighter stick because I'm not a big fan of a million hatswitches. The throttle seems to have enough anyway when I eventually get that. I'm also liked that the CHcombatstick had a throttle on the side aswell.

It hasn't arrived yet. So I'll be playing by mouse in bombers for a few days hahaha!

So did you get it yet and if so how is it going bud?

Yes, I'm actually doing fairly well with it in the MA, but my 1v1 and defensive skills are a little slow. It feels weird not having a seperate throttle at the moment. It's actually larger than I thought so I'm getting use to the button placements and the look up button. I think it will be a lasting stick and can't wait to get a throttle.

Didn't you have a throttle I thought you did? If so just use that one

No, I threw the whole stick and throttle away. I'm a retard, but multiple buttons on the throttle didn't work anymore anyway.

with Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog stick / throttle you never run out of switches and buttons, also a 2-way throttle for dual engine operations. the only thing I miss for my throttle is the trim for elevator on a slider.
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

Have you got a completely smooth elevator input on your new stick violator?

I just bought another one because it's been annoying me so much.  I'll recoup some of the cost by sticking the nearly new one on e-bay.  The thing just wasn't right from the get go.

But this now means that Bruv will shoot down 27 planes per frame in the next scenario.

That frame was the only time it behaved which made the issue even more frustrating.

Now I can go back to not having to calibrate everytime I login.   :D

You don't know how de-moralising it is to have a stick that only performed when it wanted to (with plenty of encouragement).  Now It can spread the love everytime without fail.
