VOIP Q's
« on: December 15, 2015, 09:37:49 AM »
I'm looking to replace my telcom (FairPoint) with VOIP. I had a brief experience with Vonage many years ago and have used Skype on my desktop/iPad for international calls, so I'm familiar with the basics.

Can you folks recommend a VOIP that allows:
me to keep my present ph #
use of present phone (Vtech cordless system)
(optional but useful) for calls via computer by way of headset?

Thanks

A bit of research shows NetTalk as a possible candidate. Any feedback on em?

Not a recommendation but something to consider.  I had my TV, phone and Internet all bundled with Comcast at one point.  If my cable connection went down I was dead to everything with no way to communicate to the outside world.

I ended up dropping Comcast VOIP and bought a smartphone and now all I lose when Comcast screws up is TV.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.
