The TE is still creating a binary file for Task Group waypoints.
« on: December 16, 2015, 09:47:03 PM »
I noticed the TG waypoints are building a binary file.

Also, under both the Path Tab for roads and when using the beach tool, Shift+Left click adds a point at the end of the path. Perhaps Shift+Left click could also add the next Waypoint under the Task Groups tab.

The Add Point button would become unnecessary as the CV will always be the starting point for the waypoint list.

Also, shouldn't Ctrl+left click allow you to edit the previously set Waypoints?

While I'm thinking about it, can the TE release it's focus when I'm typing in FireFox so when I reply to a post and move back to the TE window, it's not off in nowhere land :D

Patch 87 TE bugs

A couple more TE bug I've found while testing bridges:

Select any  "town1m"  OR  "ttown2m00"  at any elevation above zero.
Open the properties dialog and check "Set to Terrain Alt"
Find a good viewing position and repeatedly click Apply.
Usually you'd only hit OK and wouldn't notice anything unless the seams along the edge of the tile open up.
The town drops with each click of either button.

Now do the same thing with the HQ. It raises with each click.
This does not happen with the small or medium airfield I tested.

Here's another:

Under the Elevations Tab
If any radio button other then (7) is set, the Shift + roll mouse wheel, changes the value in the elevations textedit box. Is this a feature or a bug?
It looks like a bug because I can't tell how to set the increment and the change was unexpected and annoying until I discovered what's happening.

I spent the morning testing bridges at the HQ, "town1m"  and  "ttown2m00".

The arched bridges are too low for LVTs, although one of the arched bridges should have been high enough. LVTs can't pass under the arched bridges.

The truss bridges will allow passage of the LVTs if there's no terrain ground blocking the path as in the case of one of the truss bridges.

The only water body big enough to test the PT boat was at the HQ.
The PT boat crashes under either truss bridge at the HQ even though the legs of one of them is ~20' short of reaching the water.

In testing my custom arched bridge, LVTs and PT boats all tumble crashed under the bridge.
