Give us our native keyboard back!!!!
« on: June 26, 2000, 04:57:00 AM »
I'm like most non US users bored because I've to use an US mapping !

It has a strange effect on on-line radio
ex:
US: cqmo check ^ ///
FR: camo check 6 !!!

I try to help my country mates giving them warning wich is quite impossible now !
I need to have my keyboard key at the right place !  not spreaded around

I heard HTC is gonna fix it but dunno when.
Reason to this "kb-chaos" was Win2000 support if I heard right.
For me it's really hard to give <S> now...

It is a pain in the ar$e for me too...but if its the price to be paid in order to make Win2000 users able to fly AH then I have no problem with it.

If HT can fix it, great. If not, I'll get used to "new" keyboard

and thats all

I can't think of W2K as a correct gaming platform !
I've tried at home => I've a  10 FPS drop FPS with the same computer and current driver

I think it's a great price to get ride of internationnal users just to give few of us access to AH
I can get used to the US keyboard mapping (I've managed a lot of unix box with US only keyboard) but my trouble is that I've to think when typing and when I'm in hurry it can be dangerous for : my mates and me (I've crashed 2 time because of this ! even if I'm able to crash without any help   )

But if it can be corrected I can wait the new version (but not to long   )

At least the french pride is big enough...;-)

Uhm.. well I can't tell you how glad I am that we finaly got W2k support. I'm sure they'll fix that issue too.. probably take some time..
Meanwhile , sorry that your flying pleasure has to be the victim of my os..
But still think that w2k is a serious platform.. where serious games can be played..there are just some startup issues.. it took win98 at least a year before most games we're compatible.
In another year or so, win98 won't even be on the compatibility list.. not while MS is actively pushing ME and 2K..

It's really good thing to have support for W2k.
I have 98 and W2000 on my homeputer and now when AH supports it next time I format my drives theres not gonna be 98 anymore

Played Rogue spear, Half-life and ActionQ with W2k and at least those games worked very well under it.

BTW: My ISDN drivers in W2k are from other planet if compared those under 98
