Couple sound issues
« on: January 28, 2016, 12:23:27 PM »
One that i noticed was when driving a vehicle you hear the grass and brush crunching and slapping your tank but if you get any air at all say going off a steep hill, over a hump or over a resupply road, the sound stops and doesn't return. I have also noticed that while in a plane during an engagement the sound of an approaching plane and a departing plane don't have any real doppler effect where they  fade in or fade out. Instead of ....zzzzzZOOMmmmm.... They just start abruptly then just stop abruptly like ZOOM.(Sorry for the silly analogies)

I noticed the same.  Seemed to me at around D200 (with the default volumes) the enemy engine noise just cuts in or out with no fading as distance changes.  In particular the 190D drone in Offline had a very pronounced cut in/out without a fading.

For those of us playing this game for well over a decade, Aces High is more of a social club. The game just provides the framework. I keep logging in for the people and Pipz was the kind that you keep coming to meet again.

I  went on one of the missions, don't recall which but it was a flight of 26's and the engine noise was really strange, it'd get really loud, cut out completely, then come right back as a normal level and then get real loud again with out increasing my distance from the other aircraft, don't think that is supposed to happen.

FLying in a P47m the other day, the engine sound was louder when looking back at my 6, like the engine was back there.
