Combat Challenge 2016
« on: February 26, 2016, 02:42:44 PM »
Hey guys and girls,

Due to the late start by myself, imminent game update and expected disruption of service for some players, I have decided to put the Challenge on hold for 2016.

We will however start to host monthly Challenges on FSO off nights, they just will not be scored and recorded as they have been for the past two years. Logs and results will be posted, just no awarded competition.

Sorry to disappoint but I think this the best route due the game update and eventual switch over. We plan on returning to competition in January of 2017.

Hope you continue to enjoy spending Friday nights with me, and l will post the off week Challenge this weekend. <S>

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

What a drag  :(

But on the plus side it seems you are letting on to something coming...AH3 going live

The Anti-Horde will be there for the improvised CCs

And we will look forward to next year with scoring in effect

Thanks for putting these on Nef....they are a blast  :salute

Not trying to change the topic or hijack but, how do you think this new version of AH will effect FSO?? Or will we just cross that bridge when we get there?
Will there be enough maps to support it? Things of that nature.
Just thinking out loud here.

I too have wondered this...

I have encouraged the guys to download the beta and test their machines out on it for the off chance AH3 goes live and FSO is held there without much notice...

Not that they could spring it that fast...like 2 or so month notice...

I for one am not ready for it...machine too old and the 2 new video cards I have bought haven't done the job...

This broke Okie  hasn't been able to come up with an entire machine yet  :(

Thanks for the update Nef.  Although disappointing not being scored, they are still a blast and I will be there for them :salute
