GV's and First Gear
« on: February 01, 2016, 05:21:57 PM »
lately I have been having issues getting any GV out of first gear.

I have been pressing W, even trying the old shift keys, Q and A.

What gives?

Wiggle your rudder.  Not sure why it happens, but when you start in a vehicle just do a quick kick on both sides and away you should go.

If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

Ya, if there's even a little turning input (regardless of what you use to steer), it will stay in first gear.  Sometimes increasing deadband if your control input choice (usually rudder pedals) is spikey helps.

In my experience, even if there's no input it will do this.  My rudders are centered and calibrated and more often than not when I enter a GV I need to kick them to get out of 1st.
