I eat blue crab in some form about once a week....it's what Maryland does.

I've had Blue and local Dungeoness.
Pac coast has a leg up on Atlantic crabs...just saying.

We had some blue this past summer at Fisherman's Inn near Annapolis in July 2015. Really good! Still not as good as our fresh caught Dungeoness.  :neener:

I had a 3 hour discussion with a guy from Alaska over Crabs and how Blue crab was better then anything from up there :D
