FPS Test 1  165   Test 2  225    Test 3  201

Black flickering terrain on launch a couple of times until I toggle post lighting or shadows. Exited and relaunched no problems after toggle.

Got a message in the FW190D9.  EVENT/default/RadialProp/Internal/Engine is not stopping after timeout.

I record games with capture cards (Elgato Game Capture HD 60 Pro, and Black Magic DeckLink 4k Extreme 12G). The Elgato requires that any game I am recording is set to 1920 x 1080. The Black Magic can record anything, but does require a very fast recording deck. So, I run 1920 x 1080 for some games. When I tested how AHIII handles that the graphics go bonkers! By bonkers I mean it starts to strobe output to the screen (and I don't need an epileptic seizure). Then when you try to exit the game crashes by freezing video output. The only way to exit is to ctrl-alt-del and use Task Manager to end the program.

Neither the Elgato nor the Black Magic are installed on my gaming system. Both are installed on a second system that monitors the video stream only.

This has lead me to believe that some of the reports of strobing video and lockups might be related to non-native video resolutions, or desktops set to a different resolution than AHIII is using.

As for me the installation went smoothly with a normal exit. This version seems to be a little more laggish than previous versions. Frame rates are holding a more constant 109fps at 2160p.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Performed a retest of the FPS test due to realization that I wasn't at A1 in CraterMA arena when I did the last one........sorry.

Got 231 FPS @ A1 in CraterMA as per test criteria.

Greebo, I think Waffle's messing with us! LOL

Snowy terrains with our current conifers would be okay. That's how the Sierras look from a distance a day or so after some wind and sunshine.

I went to Speedtree looking for snow dusted trees. They don't have any. IMO what we need is nearly leafless oaks, birch etc with or without snow for the winter terrains.
Also welcome would be some snow dusted evergreen bushes (non collidable) lining farm fields, and some buildings with snow dusted on top.

Yep I think he is. I now have the largest limestone quarry in the history of aces high. That that stone eats FPS like a great white shark on a seal.

Clearly you should be building more terrains after things get stable, Bustr.
With your calm post, you've just demonstrated the first rule of terrain building. If you're going to go mad when your terrain breaks, don't pick up the hobby.
Wait at least one more patch before changing anything.

I finally got things working by turning everything disabled/off/0, and cranking the gamma so i can actually see the gauges. The gun pits are not visible until I'm on top of them.  It's playable but ah2 looks much better (I run ah2 with everything on).

I adjusted the fov, but still can't get the straight ahead view to look like ah2. In ah2, I can see over the cockpit frame, not in 3. It stayed in the "sunken" mode.

Is what I'm trying to do possible? If not, please make an option for a different default view more like ah2.

I posted before that Beta 6 doesn't like me when using a terrain with the European tile set; lots of artifacts like grey rectangles in the sky or my CBM plane icon turning into a cloud.  I thought maybe my download was corrupted so I did a separate clean install, but it had all the same issues.  I tried out the Karelia terrain and noticed another symptom: when flying above the dense forests only rectangular blocks of trees render and if I quickly look elsewhere then look back, a different rectangular block of trees render.  This is nothing but a wild guess, but it appears to me that my 32 bit Windows XP install cannot handle that many trees.  It's like it runs out of memory or texture count and just doesn't render large blocks of objects, perhaps even the majority of them.   It also appears to affect frame rate: even though I have a reasonable graphics card, a 2GB HD7870, and a fair CPU, a 3GHz E8400, my frame rate in a tank deep in the forests of Karelia can drop as low as 3.

I am beginning to think my 32 bit Windows XP OS isn't going to handle AH3.  Looks like a triple boot (XP, Ubuntu, Windows 7) is in my future.
