Is this a good time to ask if the NVidia custom clean install is any better or is a driver cleaner still better?

Hi Hungry,

From my experience when I was using Nvidia vid cards the Nvidia installer did a good job of cleaning deleted Nvidia drivers when the checkbox "Perform Clean Install" was checked, so I would assume that is still the case now.

But it won't hurt using DDU to do this either as DDU is a very good utility for this usage as I use it myself.

I'm with Pudgie, it won't hurt.

What I'd like to add is, that if you seem to have any issues related to previous drivers at the slightest, DDU is definitely worth the effort.

DDU is the ticket for clearing out all of the driver fragments that might get left behind by the standard uninstall. This is an important step when changing drivers. It's super easy to use and the software is updated regularly showing the devs are taking good care of it. Been using it for a few years and I'm a big fan.

This was my experience. I used the AMD cleaner utility and my update left me worse off than before. I than used DDU and reinstalled the update and it was much better. Quick and easy. Just be sureto use it in safe mode. I think theprogram will warn you to if you run it in standard mode.
Balrog in game. Some day my performance may justify the name. LOL
