Thursday Night Tank Fights in AH3 AVA
this week we will be testing another set of spawn points for Brooke for the scenario. it will be on the Black sea terrain in AH3 AVA.



We ask that people post their oppinions of the terrain in here, and any bugs into the "Open Beta Test" forum.

Lotta fun tonite! Spawns were a little far apart, but it was still a blast. See you guys next week...Shipper....beware, yours is coming!

Terrain at these spawns was much better for tank battles but the spawn points are too far apart necessitating kind of a long drive to the action.  This is especially true for slower tanks.

this terrain was much better then last week. it was more open, but afforded many hiding places also. also lots of dips and gullies, where you could hid right out in the open, if you will. we used radar but as 715b said, the spawns are quite a distance apart. I would suggest a happy medium between last week and this week. without gv radar on, it would've been impossible for us to play last night, but with 30 or 40 players, it probably wont be quite that bad. the only fun killer might be a one life event for the tanks. if one guy gets in a good spot, he could have a field day.

other then that, it was fun night, if you missed it, you missed a good time. if you haven't tried AH3, now would be a good time to download it and test it out!

The scenario that will this battle in it is:



It runs in June -- and you all are specially invited!

It will have unlimited lives in Panzer IV H's vs. T-34/76's (XXXXVIII Panzer Corps vs. 4th Guards Tank Corps).

I agree that the spawns are a bit far apart.  I feel like I sort of used up my allotment of favor in asking for the previous spawns in the more-wooded area, but I'll see what can be done about spacing.  Map changes are done by a very small team of player volunteers that is very overworked in translating maps from AH2 to AH3, with lots of people asking them for more things than they can do.

Just tell them "git er done"!! LOL. as a AVA admin, I whole-heartedly understand. we'll deal with it, one way or the other.
those of us that have been practicing on Thursday nights though, we shall be victorious with the extra stick time on how to kill bad guys! hehehe
