In the next Scenario, Il-2's will play a major role.

I'm leading the Il-2's, and we need a few more brave pilots.

I give it very high odds that it will be action-packed and fun.

Will you fly an Il-2 with me if . . . we achieve FAME AND GLORY?  Then step forward, for fame and glory awaits us!  :aok

If you can fly on Saturdays in June at 3 pm Eastern, please post here or let me know in a PM, and I will get in touch with you.

You don't have to be an expert in Aces High or in the Il-2.  If you want, you can participate in a couple of practice sessions with the rest of us Il-2 pilots prior to June.

That's after I get 1000 victory points by ravaging your fields, towns, and cities, fight off three squadrons of fighters on my way home, and skid my used-up but victorious crate to a halt at the edge of home base.  :D

I'm reading a book by Il-2 pilot Anna Timofeeva-Egorova:  "Over Fields of Fire:  Flying the Sturmovik in Action on the Eastern Front 1942-1945".

41 combat missions in the Il-2.



I'm not done with the book yet.  So far, it is quite good.

I need one more pilot to join us in Il-2's on Saturdays in June.

Is there one more person out there who will join me?

For the glory?

For the action?

For the motherland?

We will play a vital part in this scenario.  I really, really, really (really) would like to have full group every mission.

What do you say?

Beginner or expert or anything in between, you are welcome to fly with us.

The Il-2's are now full of Heroes of the Motherland!  :aok

There are still plenty of other aircraft available for The Battle of the Dnieper, however.
