GA the
www.resounding.com or
WWW.rogerwilco.com/ah base station actually predates the integrated RW in aces high channel tuneing.
It is a base station, one open for anyone flying Aces high. It has 4 default channels, one for each country, bish, knight, rook and neutrel.
Plus like any base station it has the ability to host custom channels. Can be a number like 120, a name or squadron like "dogs" "assassins" etc.
They are 2 seperate and independant systems.
Now for the good news. If you have the new version of RW, and if you don't have it "hidden" and if you end up being the host anyone can surf in.
With the
www.rw base station it does NOT show up on the channel list. People can not just surf in. And, if you type anything in the channel bar, it's the same as password protecting it. You HAVE to know what to type in to join that channel.
This works GREAT with the new channel changer. Tested it last night in the TOD and once we got everyone in had no problems with it. No one joining from out of the blue, no hassles.
Which one to use? Well thats up to you and how secure you want your squad comms, and what you find easiest to work with.
