Nvidia Control Panell Setting

I have a Nvidia GTX970 vid Card. In the control panel under "Adjust Desk Top and Position" the options for scaling are "Aspect ratio" "full screen" "no scaling" perform scaling by display or Gpu. I have been using the option of "full Screen" scaling and letting display perform the scaling because that was the setting after installation of the card. My question is "should I select scaling by the GPU (the vid card) or should I stay with scaling by the display. My monitor is a Asus PB278 30 inch. Thanks Wizer

These controls are designed to allow you to adopt nearly any screen for use with your GPU. Some televisions allow for different aspect ratios, and so you would want to make that adjustment on the television, rather than force it through the GPU.
