Smoking GV Towering without a kill. How is that done?
« on: June 06, 2016, 12:17:48 PM »
I had rockets left on the P-38 so I popped a few on a lone M-18.  It started to smoke, so I made another pass.  To my astonishment, I watched the M-18 disappear just as I started to pull the trigger.  No kill recorded.  A vox conversation invoked about the odd M-18 disappearance. Some said it was a well known bug for years that had to do with backing up slightly or something similar after being smoked then towering would eliminate the kill sometimes but not every time.  To be clear, this is not a cheat allegation.  Just a bug know by some.

Anybody know how to do this?

The tanker is very well known.  He has done it before but this is the first time I could be sure it really happened.

I have him on several films doing it.  One second he's there smoking, the next he's gone, no kill or assist message.  He's throwing his reputation in the toilet, and has to learn how to take his medicine.
